Don’t Give Up! Overcoming Obstacles and Making Your Dreams a Reality

Waking up and being excited about the day is one of the best feelings that one can have, especially when it happens on a regular basis. This indicates that whatever we are doing, it is in alignment with who we really are. It means that we are on the right path towards achieving our goals.

Unfortunately though, seeing highly motivated people is a rare occurrence. The majority of us like to play it safe. This means having stability in life and staying within the comfort zone. This also means doing what everyone else is doing and what we have been taught to do by the older generations. “Get a good education. This will earn you a prestigious job and all of the other benefits that you need. Also, buy a house and a car.” We all have heard these or similar words before.

Want to Change the World? Change Yourself First – The Rest Will Follow

We, humans, are extremely fascinating. On the one hand, we may believe that a single person cannot make a difference in the world. We think that a single person recycling materials, using less water, eating less meat or making a small donation, will not solve anything. But on the other hand, history has shown that it is always the individual that does incredible things. One person can lead thousands or even millions of people. Albert Einstein, Gandhi, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, Bill Gates and a countless amount of others are all examples of how an individual can make a huge difference in the world.

Unfortunately though, if you look more deeply into human behavior, it is obvious that we prefer controlling and changing others, as opposed to changing ourselves. We can dictate, but we rarely listen. So does this really create the changes that we so much we need in the world?

So, in this post, I would like to talk about the ten reasons why and how you should stop judging others and focus only on yourself. This is extremely crucial if you want to grow and become better in all aspects of life.

10 Simple Anger Management Techniques to Help You Get Through the Day

Some time ago I wrote a post on how to control anger and hate towards other people. As the name implies, it was about controlling anger that is specifically aimed at other people. It also had a little bit of a Buddhist touch to it, which was inspired by the book “8 Steps to Happiness: The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness” – I highly recommend the book. In this post, however, I want to keep it more simple. I want to share with you ten simple anger management techniques that can help you deal with any kind of anger at any moment of the day!

Materialism and Spirituality – Can They Co-Exist?

For a very long period of time, I was convinced that materialism and spirituality cannot co-exist. In fact, I thought that materialism is the direct opposite of spirituality, and that all materialists are inherently “shallow people”. With age, though, came new experiences and a new realization that the world is not as black and white as it may first appear to a teenager with a maximalist view of the world.

As a person that is very passionate about self-actualization, I believe that the topic of materialism and spirituality cannot be put aside. Self-actualization is all about becoming better and finding harmony, a balance in life between everything that it offers. Therefore, both, materialism and spirituality, should be handled with equal importance.

The aim of this post is to help those that might be having the same inner struggle that I once had. A struggle regarding the question of can materialism and spirituality co-exist in one person or can they not?
