YouTube has been one of the biggest sources of inspiration for me. Because it has helped me in so many ways to grow up and become better, I would like to give back and share with you the YouTube channels that I personally watch.

Project Life Mastery

The first of the top 10 self-development youtube channels is Project Life Mastery (PLM).

Stefan James, the person behind Project Life Mastery, was one of the first people online to heavily impact my life. I stumbled on his channel right in the beginning of my search for a deeper meaning in life.

At the time, I didn’t yet know how to change or what I wanted to do, but I knew that I had to look for ideas somewhere.

Project Life Mastery became that place which taught me about motivation, success and starting an online business. I can honestly say that this channel has formed a lot of who I am today. I will always be thankful to channels, such as this one, for helping people like myself to move forward in life.

Stefan James has a few life-changing online courses, two of which I have bought and can recommend. One is about how to start an Amazon Kindle publishing business, and the other one is about affiliate marketing and blogging.

ProducerMichael

Michael, just like the name of the channel implies, is a music, TV and a film producer, a very successful producer, I must add. He lives a gorgeous lifestyle.

What’s incredible about this channel is that it combines humor and motivation. On the one hand, Michael shows us how much money he has the things he can afford, but on the other hand, he has a very positive and a genuine character, making it very easy to watch and relate to.

Michael is a self-made millionaire, so he knows very well what it means to work hard, through blood, sweat and tears. Every once in a while, he shares a lesson of motivation with his audience, making the channel both, amusing and highly motivational at the same time. I highly recommend this channel.

TED

The TED channel is probably one of the earliest channels that I ever began to watch on YouTube.

Although TED falls into my top 10 self-development YouTube channels for motivation and success, the channel isn’t only about those topics. It’s about motivation, technology, health, science, art, philosophy and all other fields of life.

Actualized.org

The fourth of the top 10 self-development youtube channels is Actualized.org, which is driven by Leo Gura.

Leo Gura is a very unique person with a very unique channel. What makes it special is the fact that he can talk literally for hours straight without a single pause on topics that are very complex. But what makes it even better is that his lectures are never boring. If my schoolteachers were anything like him, school would have been a totally different experience. Oh well.

On the side note, I must add that a lot of what Leo talks about is controversial and I don’t agree with everything that he says, but that doesn’t make the channel any less good. On the contrary, his topics are sometimes so diverse and so complex, that it’s only natural that we take a different side to the discussion.

Actualized.org is perfect for those that are willing to look at the world beyond what is normally seen.

Evan Carmichael

Evan Carmichael’s channel is all about motivation, success, positivity and entrepreneurship. Every time I feel a little down and as if I don’t know how to move forward in life, I watch his “Top 10 Rules For Success” series. These series take some of the most successful individuals of the planet, and share their top rules for how one can become successful.

Steve Jobs, Tony Robbins, Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, you name it. If you are into self-development and entrepreneurship, this channel is your must-have source of motivation.

Lewis Howes

The ninth of the top 10 self-development youtube channels is Lewis Howes.

Lewis Howes hosts some of the most inspirational interviews that you will find. His guests are not limited to any particular field, but many of them are connected in some way to entrepreneurship since he is an entrepreneur himself. The focus, of course, also falls on motivation, success and overcoming obstacles.

Lewis Howes is a great source of motivation.

GaryVee

GaryVee is one of the biggest names in the entrepreneur world today. Gary is famous for the way in which he expresses his thoughts and ideas, but also for the substance of his thoughts. What I love most about him is that his words are actionable and he never has any fluff; he gets straight to the point, and that’s what makes him so fascinating to listen to.

Gary has a lot of experience with entrepreneurship and especially social media marketing. If you want to learn more about what he teaches, I highly recommend his two books:

Neil Patel, in my opinion, is very similar to the GaryVee channel in the sense that there is no fluff. If you want to gain some actionable information on how to become a better online entrepreneur, then Neil will be able to help you.

Neil’s content is very informative and motivational at the same time, which is why his channel also falls into this list.

Be Inspired

Last but not least in the top 10 self-development YouTube channels for motivation and success list comes “Be Inspired”.

Well, I think the name does a pretty good job describing what the channel is about and what it can offer you. Here you will find short, but also longer motivational pieces of content that are meant to push you forward in the most difficult of times. I highly recommend it.
